Catfood

Yesterday I decided I was sick of grilled cheese or stir-fry for dinner and so decided to attempt to make salmon!  I sauteed carrots and mushrooms to go with the piece of fish, and pan seared it with butter and olive oil just like I was taught!  The only problem was that I had been taught with fresh fish...this had been frozen.  The middle was still raw and cold when I thought it was done.  I figured the correct solution would be to throw in in the microwave for a few minutes and then back into the pan for flavor.  No.  While it didn't end up tasting too bad (Sriracha fixes everything, right?) it looked so funny and unlike the beautiful meals I had been cooking at home with my mom that I had to post a picture.  Anyone wanna hire a sous chef?
